Neil Godfrey is one of the industry’s most awarded art directors who was prolific in the heyday of Collet Dickinson Pearce (CDP) during the 1970s and 1980s. Often paired with Tony Brignull, he produced some of the country’s best and most effective work of the time. Iconic ads for Parker Pens and Benson & Hedges including the B&H pyramid ad. They were the duo for people to follow. A duo on a mission to change creativity when the majority of agencies around them were producing the same work they had done for the last twenty or thirty years. They pioneered some of the first full page ads. Godfrey’s meticulous attention to detail and the physical effort of producing stunning work allowed his craftsmanship to shine.
