Tony Brignull is one of the industry’s most awarded copywriters who was prolific in the heyday of Collet Dickinson Pearce (CDP) during the 1970s and 1980s. Often paired with Neil Godfrey, he produced some of the country’s best and most effective work of the time. Iconic ads for Parker Pens and Benson & Hedges including the B&H pyramid ad. They were the duo for people to follow. A duo on a mission to change creativity when the majority of agencies around them were producing the same work they had done for the last twenty or thirty years. He pioneered some of the first full page ads which quickly disappeared with the rise of media brokers negotiating the cost. Brignull’s talent was to breathe character into the work.
